Paula received her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Saint Mary, Leavenworth, Kansas. She also holds a Master of Science in Sports and Health Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Paula was born and raised in Eastern Iowa where she worked on her family’s farm, waited tables at the local café, and played any sport available in her small school district. Paula entered military service shortly after high school, serving as a US Army 68W Combat Medic. After over a decade of service, Paula was honorably discharged but continued her service as a proud military spouse. It was during this time she discovered her love for world travel and the wisdom to be gain by experiencing other cultures. Before the Army brought her family back to the Midwest, she had the pleasure of living and exploring the Republic of Korea (South Korea), Germany, Spain, Morocco, the Czech Republic, Thailand, China, Ireland, and Texas…just to name a few. Don’t ask her which destination was her favorite, as she finds that impossible to answer.

Paula actively seeks out continuing healthcare education to better serve her clients. She has attended formal training for dry needling therapy, therapeutic kinesio taping, and is preparing for her Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification.

Paula is a recipient of the Sister Mary Kathleen Stefani Doctor of Physical Therapy Award of Excellence, Stephani Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Distinguished Student Award and is a member of the University of Saint Mary Honor Society. Additionally, she is a recipient of the Kansas APTA Outstanding Physical Therapy Student Award.

Paula is a member of the Kansas, Missouri, and National American Physical Therapy Associations (APTA). In her spare time, she is an avid garage gym CrossFit athlete, Scouting USA mom, and voracious reader.

Paula enthusiastically joined the Foundational Concepts team with the goal of continued service to those both in and out of uniform.
