Samantha Curran PT, DPT, CSCS, completed her doctorate in physical therapy at Missouri State University. Prior to graduation she received clinical experience in chronic pain and pelvic floor rehabilitation in which she fell in love with this patient population. She has also received her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in order to work with those athletes no matter the level or the age.
During school, Samantha received her LSVT Big certification in order to gain experience working with those with neurological deficits and in order to have a diverse understanding of all patient backgrounds and suspected outcomes. Prior to physical therapy school, she worked as a personal trainer for two years and was given the opportunity to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Through this opportunity, she gained an appreciation for listening to the body and focusing on the body as a whole drawing her to the field of physical therapy.
Sam joined Foundational Concepts in June of 2016 after having gained clinical experience with us during her physical therapy education. After her clinical rotation she realized what a large need there is for pelvic floor rehabilitation and how much positive change this profession makes in people’s lives.
