Sydney grew up in Alton, Illinois, near St. Louis. She played basketball and tennis through high school, and thanks to a few minor injuries and sprained ankles, was first introduced to physical therapy.
She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Missouri State University. Following this, she spent several years as a conference and event planner and was fortunate to travel extensively throughout the world as part of that career.
While undergoing her own physical therapy to address a running injury, Sydney recognized her own interest in the holistic and well-rounded care PT provides. Soon after, she decided to pursue her own career as a therapist.
Sydney received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University. As a student, she spent considerable time training with the therapists at Foundational Concepts and is excited to be part of their team. She understands that it can be uncomfortable to discuss health issues surrounding pelvic floor dysfunction. Her approach is rooted in helping patients understand what is happening in their bodies and removing the fear around it.
When not working, Sydney can be found at her local coffee shop, enjoying the trails near her home, listening to Taylor Swift, and planning her next vacation.
