Christina Wisdom, PT, DPT, OCS, CLT, completed her doctorate in physical therapy at Washington University in St. Louis in 2006. Since graduation she worked at the University of Kansas Hospital and focused on outpatient orthopedics, oncology, and lymphedema. In 2007, she obtained her Certification in Lymphedema Therapy from the Norton School of Lymphatic Studies and started the lymphedema program at the University of Kansas Hospital. In 2009, she became Board Certified as a Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She has worked extensively with patients with cancer, swelling, complex medical histories, graft versus host disease, and joint and muscle injuries.
Christina began teaching physical therapy students as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy Education at Rockhurst University in 2008, and became full-time faculty in 2013. She is currently an Assistant Professor and teaches orthopedic and professional & leadership development courses. She is active in the American Physical Therapy Association and belongs to the Orthopedic, Oncology, Education, and Health Policy & Administration Sections. She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Physical Therapy Association.
