Julia graduated with her Exercise Science degree and minor in psychology from KU before going onto KU Medical for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During physical therapy school, she completed her 200-hr yoga teacher training and taught yoga on the side, which helped her create a deeper understanding of a well-rounded, holistic approach in her physical therapy practice. Through her time learning, she became really passionate about learning about pelvic floor physical therapy and women’s health topics, which led her into doing a Women’s Health Residency at the Washington University in St. Louis after graduation. Here, she received mentorship and specialty training utilizing an individualized movement system based approach in the treatment of pelvic, orthopedic and lymphedema cases. In addition, she completed her Certification in Lymphedema Therapy (CLT) through Klose Training and additional pelvic floor training through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Julia is passionate about spreading her knowledge about pelvic health to others and empowering individuals to optimize their health. Julia is very excited to join the team at Foundational Concepts and work alongside this passionate group of women to create an environment for our patient’s to strive.

Outside the clinic, you can find Julia taking walks with her husband and pup, adventuring to new places around town, visiting family, and spending time with friends.
