Lee Anne has been working in the fitness industry for over 20 years. She gained an appreciation for Pilates after suffering a closed head injury in 1995. The injuries left her in a wheelchair and she realized she would never take walking for granted again.
Neurologically, Lee Anne healed but this experience showed her the importance of the mind/body relationship and the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Fascinated by the focus on breath-work and movement from the center of our body, Pilates became her solution.
Lee Anne is a strong advocate of the integration of therapies and continues to work with different teachers to receive the most current information for efficient movement in the body. Her real school has been her own long road to healing. Lee Anne believes these life experiences have allowed her to empathize with clients’ needs in their own healing process.
Lee Anne teaches in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere to reveal how perfectly the body operates when the mind listens, learns, and loves. To learn more go to www.leeannepilates.com.
